Your Chance to Support the Stephen King Short Film "One for the Road", Starring Lance Henriksen

Yup, what started back in February, at least for Loony's Brew, is getting ever closer to becoming a reality with filming scheduled in September. The director Joshua Brucker has done an amazing job initiating and organizing the project, not a trivial thing to do, and it's now at the critical stage of funding.

Since this film is not a Hollywood mega-budget movie to be shown and sold at thousands of movie theaters worldwide, it likewise doesn't have the massive budget but what it lacks in funding, it more than makes up for in passion and heart from seemingly everyone involved. Which from all the movies I've seen, seem to be the key ingredients anyway to making the film a success. What does success for a movie like this mean if not for profit? While others may have their own definitions, some of my perspectives include:

• Film Festival Success: To be potentially showed at dozens of events with anywhere from hundreds to thousands of people viewing at each event, this is the springboard for everything else.
• A Viral Hit: If it works and strikes an appropriate vibe or chord with viewers, the thousands of viewers could grow to millions, giving appropriate support and recognition to everyone involved.
• Individual Recognition: For most involved with the project, this is completely new and as doing anything new can be a scary thing in itself, success from doing so could spark waves of life changes, opening doors that one may not of even known existed.
• Local Recognition: In some ways, a project like this puts us on the map in a way that few other activities could do. This includes locations such as Loony's Brew, Ranier, and International Falls, as well as for all the people involved, most of which include locals and others with connections to the area.

How you can support:
The project is being crowdfunded from Indiegogo and is looking to raise $35,000. Anyone interested can contribute at different levels and with their contribution, will receive various items in return including social media shout-outs, digital downloads, signed posters, t-shirts, and much more.
