Events this Weekend: Pints for the Park & Zombie Crawl

If combined, it could be a pint crawl in zombie park? Maybe, probably not... Check out the details of both events below, with Pints for the Park on Thursday and the Zombie Crawl on Saturday.

Pints for the Park
While I've never attended one of these before, we're honored that it's at Loony's Brew this year and hope everyone can make it out, have a good time, and help raise funds for the VNPA in the process.

​The details:
When: Thursday, October 12, 5-8pm

• 6pm: A short talk on the effects of recovering eagle populations on other park wildlife by Steve Windels, PhD, Wildlife Biologist, Voyageurs National Park.
• 6:30pm: Participate in a National Parks Trivia Game.
• Pizza for all.

While the event is free, please register beforehand. Loony's Brew will be also be donating a percentage of the event proceeds to the Voyageurs National Park Association.

The 2017 Zombie Community Pub Crawl Reload
Following the Pints for the Park on Thursday, on Saturday Loony's Brew will be participating in the 2017 Zombie Crawl, with the zombies officially moving through from 5:30-6:30pm, but can come earlier if space is needed to put on your proper zombie ware. 

The Crawl:
When: Saturday, October 14

• Rainy Lake Grill & Registration, 4-6pm
• Loony's Brew: 5:30-6:30pm
• Ranier Muni: 6:30-8pm with vans leaving the Muni at 8pm.
• Viking: 8:30-9:30pm
• Border Bar: 9:30-10:30pm
• VFW: 10:30-11:30pm
• Outpost: 11:30pm-Last Call

Different prizes will be given out at each location for the best dressed, but to qualify you need to register by getting a wristband for $2 at the Rainy Lake Grill, from which proceeds will be donated to community based Cards for Cancer.
