After a relatively long hiatus, the incredibly talented band from Birchdale known as Sloughgrass will be gracing the stage or playing outside at Loony's Brew this Saturday starting at 8pm.

Playing a mixture of classics old and new on a myriad of string instruments, it's hard if not impossible to not feel the overwhelming energy created, like a wave rolling over the audience causing foot tapping, head and body moving with the flow, or spontaneously bursting into dance. Either way, an experience not to missed.

The deck bar will be open, will be grilling shish kebabs in late afternoon, and through the evening the Fun Food truck will be available for summer treats such as corn dogs, funnel cake sticks, mini-tacos and more.

Living in a town called Ranier, on a lake called Rainy Lake, it rains so much nobody uses umbrellas as it's been completely normalized.

Yeah, while the rain can put a damper on summertime activities, for a brewery it's a little different as water is far and away our most important ingredient. And while it may seem ridiculous to be worried about such a thing in an area like this, surrounded by lakes everywhere, the rain can equal a steady reminder of the good, clean water constantly flowing in from the expansive outreach of the Rainy Lake watershed.

They'll be playing inside but we'll have speakers putting the live show out to the deck area and Canada. And if getting the munchies, earlier we'll be having shish kebabs on the grill and the Fun Food Factory food truck will be available from late afternoon onwards. You can also pick up a pizza, appetizers, or other meals from the Rainy Lake Grill to bring down if you'd like.
